Job summary

DOCS Dermatology Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinical and procedural patient care under supervision of the Practice Manager and physicians. This multi-skilled professional will assist in patient care management and ensure smooth operation of the center.

Responsibilities include verifying patient information, entering medical history into the EHR, preparing exam rooms, assisting physicians during visits, coordinating tests and procedures, and handling triage calls.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience in a medical office preferred.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding preferred; HIPAA compliance essential.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient information and medical history.
• Enter medical history and visit details into the EHR.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare for the physician.
• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
• Handle phone triage and dispense prescribed medications as ordered.
• Coordinate and schedule medical procedures and tests.
• Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and sanitize instruments.
