Job summary

QualDerm Partners in Monroe, NC seeks a Dermatology Medical Assistant to support dermatology and cosmetic services. You will prepare patients, assist physicians, and manage samples while maintaining patient records with confidentiality.

The ideal candidate has MA experience, strong communication, and familiarity with dermatology terms; EHR and office software proficiency is a plus. This is an on-site position in a fast-paced clinic. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; MA certification preferred.
• Experience as a Medical Assistant or in a clinical healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, especially dermatology terms.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with patients and staff.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information.
• Strong organizational skills for fast-paced settings.
• Proficiency with EHR systems and common office software is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations by recording vital signs and medical histories.
• Assist physicians during examinations and dermatologic procedures with equipment and support.
• Perform basic laboratory tests and manage specimen collection.
• Maintain accurate, confidential patient records per healthcare regulations.
• Schedule patient appointments and facilitate communication within the practice.
• Educate patients about treatment plans, medications, and skincare routines.
• Ensure exam rooms are clean, organized, and stocked with supplies.
