Anne Arundel Dermatology in Millersville, MD is hiring a Medical Assistant to support physicians by rooming patients, taking vitals, preparing trays, and assisting with dermatology procedures in a fast-paced outpatient clinic.

The role requires EMR documentation accuracy, teamwork, and flexibility to support multiple practice locations. Schedule is Tue–Fri 7:45am–3:30pm; pay range is $18–$23 per hour depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, obtain vital signs, and document intake in the EMR.
• Coordinate patient flow and support clinic operations.
• Prepare procedure trays, instruments, and equipment; assist providers with dermatology procedures.
• Prepare and route pathology/lab specimens per insurance requirements.
• Respond to patient questions and nursing line messages as directed.
• Clean, sterilize, maintain, and inventory clinical equipment and supplies.
• Maintain medication and supply inventory; restock clinical areas.
• Support infection control standards and keep spaces organized.
• Document patient information and scribe provider notes in the EMR.
• Assist with local anesthetic administration.
• Handle phone messages, faxes, and interdepartmental communications promptly.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
