Job summary

PhyNet Dermatology LLC is seeking a Part-Time Medical Assistant to support dermatology physicians in Dallas, TX. You will room patients, document histories, and assist with procedures such as biopsies, injections, and laser treatments.

Responsibilities include maintaining sterile technique, scribing templates, processing prescriptions, logging pathology samples, and coordinating with labs. Proactive, dependable candidates with strong attention to detail and good teamwork are valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 0–3 years medical assistant experience, preferably in dermatology.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail with ability to maintain accurate patient records.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Must be willing to travel to all locations.
• Bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and document histories (HPI, meds, allergies).
• Assist with dermatology procedures (biopsies, injections, lasers) and anesthesia.
• Maintain sterile technique and infection control practices.
• Scribe: input templates and chart notes as directed by physicians.
• Process prescription refills and manage prior authorizations.
• Log pathology samples and coordinate with laboratories.
• Operate equipment such as Narrowband UVB and PDT units.
• Stock and clean examination rooms and supply areas.
• Maintain attendance and assist with department needs.
• Other duties as assigned by supervising physician.
