Job summary

PhyNet Dermatology LLC is seeking a Medical Assistant to support dermatology physicians in delivering high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include rooming patients, updating histories, documenting visits, and assisting with biopsies, surgeries, and skin treatments.

The role requires 0–3 years of MA experience (preferably dermatology) with strong computer, communication, and teamwork skills. High school diploma or GED is required, with attention to detail and adherence to sterile

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
0–3 years of medical assistant experience, preferably in dermatology.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate patient records.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with a team to manage patient volume up to 40 daily.
Document patient histories including HPI, meds, allergies.
Prepare and assist with dermatologic procedures (biopsies, injections, lasers, excisions).
Administer local anesthesia and remove sutures as directed.
Maintain sterile techniques and infection control practices.
Perform scribing duties and input templates/notes as directed.
Process prescriptions and manage prior authorizations.
Log pathology samples and coordinate with labs.
Operate specialized dermatology equipment (UVB, PDT).
Maintain and replenish examination room supplies and LN2 containers.
Ensure attendance and reliability, and assist with other duties as assigned.
