Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 0–3 years of medical assistant experience, preferably in dermatology.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate patient records.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and document HPI, histories, medications, and allergies.
• Assist with dermatology procedures (biopsies, injections, laser treatments, excisions).
• Administer local anesthesia and remove sutures as directed.
• Maintain sterile techniques and infection control practices.
• Handle scribing, templates, and chart notes as directed by physicians.
• Process refills and manage prior authorizations; log pathology samples.
