PhyNet Dermatology LLC is seeking a Medical Assistant to support dermatology physicians with patient care, rooming, history updates, and chart documentation.

You will assist with dermatological procedures (biopsies, surgeries, lasers), manage patient flow, and ensure sterile practices while maintaining accurate records. The role requires attention to detail and teamwork in a busy dermatology clinic.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 0–3 years of medical assistant experience, preferably in dermatology.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate patient records.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient rooming and documenting visit details.
• Update patient histories and maintain accurate medical records.
• Prepare and assist with dermatology procedures (e.g., biopsies, surgeries, laser treatments).
• Administer local anesthesia and suture removal as directed.
• Maintain sterile techniques and infection control practices.
• Perform charting and scribing duties as directed by physicians.
• Process prescription refills and manage prior authorizations.
• Coordinate with laboratories for pathology specimens.
• Maintain and stock examination rooms and equipment.
