PhyNet Dermatology LLC (External) is seeking a Medical Assistant to support dermatology physicians in delivering high-quality patient care. Duties include patient rooming, updating histories, documenting visit details, and assisting with biopsies, surgeries, and skin treatments.

Responsibilities also cover procedure preparation, local anesthesia, scribing, refills and prior authorizations, lab coordination, and room maintenance. Travel to all locations is required.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 0-3 years of medical assistant experience, preferably in dermatology.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate patient records.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Must be willing to travel to all locations.

Mansioni

• Collaborate with a team to manage an average patient volume of up to 40 patients daily.
• Document patient histories, including HPI, medications, and allergies.
• Prepare and assist with dermatological and cosmetic procedures (biopsies, ILK, I&D, Botox, lasers, excisions).
• Administer local anesthesia and remove sutures as directed.
• Maintain sterile techniques and infection control practices.
• Perform scribing duties and input templates/notes as directed.
• Process prescription refills and manage prior authorizations.
• Log pathology samples and coordinate with laboratories.
• Operate devices such as Narrowband UVB and photodynamic therapy units.
• Maintain and replenish examination rooms and supplies.
• Adhere to infection control policies and ensure reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned by physicians.
