PhyNet Dermatology LLC in the United States is seeking a Medical Assistant to support dermatology physicians by delivering high-quality patient care, including patient rooming and updating medical histories.

Responsibilities include documenting visit details, assisting with dermatological and cosmetic procedures (biopsies, sutures, injections, laser treatments), administering local anesthesia, and maintaining sterile technique and infection control.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 0–3 years of medical assistant experience, preferably in dermatology.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate patient records.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Responsabilités

• Manage an average patient volume of up to 40 daily.
• Document patient histories (HPI, medical, surgical, family history, meds, allergies).
• Prepare and assist with dermatologic and cosmetic procedures (biopsies, ILK, I&D, Botox, lasers, excisions).
• Administer local anesthesia and remove sutures as directed.
• Maintain sterile techniques and infection control practices.
• Perform scribing duties, inputting templates and chart notes.
• Process prescription refills and manage prior authorizations.
• Log pathology specimens and coordinate with laboratories.
• Operate specialized equipment (Narrowband UVB, PDT).
• Maintain and replenish liquid nitrogen containers.
• Clean and stock examination rooms and supply areas.
• Ensure consistent attendance and reliability.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervising physician or department lead.
