Job summary

Schweiger Dermatology Group in Brea, CA is seeking a Part-Time Medical Assistant for our office. The role entails performing high-quality medical, clinical, and clerical tasks in a dermatology setting. Dermatology and healthcare experience are required; CMA preferred. Schedule is part-time (<30 hrs/week), with weekday availability and rotating Saturdays within 8:00am–5:00pm.

The MA will support physicians in medical, cosmetic, and laser procedures, manage patient flow, and ensure proper documentation and room prep throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• Dermatology and healthcare experience required.
• Nationally Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• Experience with EMR and scheduling systems.
• Strong communication and patient service skills.
• Weekend and weekday availability.

Responsibilities

• Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere for patients and providers.
• Assist physicians in medical, cosmetic, and laser procedures.
• Record prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, and prescriptions.
• Manage provider-patient flow and anticipate next steps.
• Prep exam rooms and ensure equipment is ready.
• Provide pre-care and post-care instructions.
• Maintain inventory and assist with stocking.
