Schweiger Dermatology Group in Brea, CA is seeking a Part-Time Medical Assistant to deliver high-quality clinical and clerical support in a busy dermatology practice. The role requires dermatology and healthcare experience, and offers a flexible schedule.

As a Medical Assistant, you will support physicians in medical, cosmetic, and laser procedures, manage room prep, chart records, and assist with patient flow. The team emphasizes collaborative care and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Dermatology experience is required.
• Healthcare experience is required.
• Nationally Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems.
• Must be computer savvy and familiar with Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Excellent patient relation and customer service skills.
• Open availability to work weekdays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere to patients and providers.
• Assist physician in medical, cosmetic and laser procedures.
• Record prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos, prescriptions, prior authorization and procedures.
• Understand provider to patient flow and anticipate next steps.
• Prep rooms before and after patients; ensure equipment is in good working order.
• Provide pre-care and post-care treatment instructions.
• Manage inventory and stock of supplies.
• Attend in-house training and continuing education.
