Job summary

Schweiger Dermatology Group's Gilroy office is seeking a Part-Time Medical Assistant to support clinicians with clinical and clerical tasks in a fast-paced dermatology setting.

You will assist physicians during procedures, manage patient flow, document treatments in the EMR, and help with scheduling, inventory, and room readiness. Applicants should have healthcare experience, dermatology preferred, and be comfortable with weekdays and weekend availability.

Qualifications

• Dermatology experience preferred.
• Healthcare experience required.
• Nationally Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems.
• Must be computer savvy and familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Open availability to work during weekdays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians in medical, cosmetic, and laser procedures.
• Prepare rooms, check equipment, and maintain sterile environment.
• Record treatments, medications, biopsies, and prior authorizations in the EMR.
• Manage patient flow and provide pre-care and post-care instructions.
• Support front desk tasks, scheduling, and inventory as needed.
