Schweiger Dermatology Group is seeking a Part-Time Medical Assistant for our Delray Beach office to support physicians in dermatology procedures and patient care. The role emphasizes clinical and clerical tasks, with schedules Monday to Friday and rotating Saturdays, under 30 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Dermatology experience required.
• Healthcare experience required.
• Nationally Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems.
• Computer savvy; proficient with Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Open availability to work weekdays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician in medical, cosmetic and laser procedures.
• Record treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos and prescriptions.
• Manage prior authorizations and procedures within guidelines.
• Anticipate provider’s next steps and manage patient flow.
• Prepare rooms before and after patients and verify equipment.
• Provide pre-care and post-care instructions as needed.
• Daily scan and manage retail/cosmetic products and supplies; flag shortages.
• Attend in-house training and continued education opportunities.
