Job summary

Westlake Dermatology is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant to support providers at our San Antonio Alamo Heights and Olmos Parks locations. Typical duties include history taking, assisting with cosmetic procedures, room prep, and patient education.

Qualifications include a high school diploma with MA program or college degree, and dermatology experience is preferred. EHR experience (EMA) and strong customer service are desirable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma plus completion of a college degree or Medical Assistant program.
• Medical assistant certification preferred.
• 1–2 years in dermatology or cosmetic/surgical clinic preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with patient care, history, consent, and procedures.
• Prepare exam rooms and assist with cosmetic procedures.
• Escort patients, educate on aftercare.
• Perform EHR charting and room turnover.
• Review and manage schedules and supply readiness.
