The Dermatology Center of Indiana, affiliated with Optima Dermatology, is hiring a full-time Medical Assistant for our Plainfield, IN practice. You will prepare exam rooms, take vitals, assist with procedures, and coordinate tests and referrals in a fast-paced dermatology setting.

Requirements include a Licensed Medical Assistant or nursing degree; dermatology experience and EMA EMR familiarity are preferred. Strong communication and confidentiality are essential.

Qualifications

• Licensed MA or nursing degree; dermatology background preferred.
• Experience with dermatology patient flow and procedures beneficial.
• Proficiency with EMA EMR system preferred.

Responsabilités

• Prepare exam rooms and stock supplies for patient visits.
• Take vitals, escort patients and document visit details.
• Assist physicians with procedures (minor surgeries, suture removal).
• Prepare specimens for outside lab and file results.
• Schedule tests and coordinate referrals, with patient prep instructions.
• Communicate test results and care plans to patients and families.
• Handle pre-certifications and insurance communications; track referrals.
• Maintain inventory and sanitation of rooms and lab areas.
• Maintain confidentiality and support practice operations.
