Optima Dermatology is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant for our Bloomington, IN location. The role includes room prep, patient vitals, and assisting physicians with procedures, with a focus on accurate charting and efficient patient flow.

The candidate should have a Licensed Medical Assistant credential (or higher nursing degree) and at least 1 year MA experience, with EMA EMR experience highly preferred. Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits are offered.

• MA skills including vitals, injections, charting, and exam-room prep.
• Excellent oral communication to interact with patients and families.
• Written communication for charting and documentation.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
• Team player with peers.
• Experience with EMA EMR preferred.
• Minimum 1 year MA experience.
• Licensed Medical Assistant or higher nursing degree.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare exam rooms and stock supplies between patients.
• Escort patients, take vitals, assess needs, and prep for physician examination.
• Assist physicians with minor procedures such as sutures, wart/mole removal.
• Prepare specimens for outside lab and file results with physician.
• Schedule tests/procedures and coordinate patient instructions.
• Facilitate referrals by contacting offices and coordinating appointments.
• Communicate test results and care plans to patients.
• Pre-certify medications and referrals with insurers.
• Maintain inventory and order back-office supplies.
• Disinfect rooms and maintain reception area.
• Maintain confidentiality and patient safety.
• Collaborate with physician and office manager on improvements.
