IU Health at University Hospital in Indianapolis is seeking a Medical Assistant to support daily patient flow and clinical operations. You will room patients, review charts, document vital signs and histories, and assist with referrals and messages to ensure timely care.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 0–2 years of experience, and MA certification. AHA BLS is required, with potential for tuition assistance and loan forgiveness programs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required or completion of a High School sponsored CTE program.
• Zero to two years of relevant experience are required.
• New hires after Oct 12, 2026 must graduate from a Medical Assistant program.
• Certification in CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA, or CMAC is required or preferred.
• AHA BLS for healthcare workers is required; other life support may be required.
• Knowledge of OSHA, CLIA, and ADA is expected.
• Understanding ICD-10 and CPT coding is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Room patients and prepare them for provider visits.
• Review charts and complete pre-visit chart preparation for providers.
• Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, medications, and allergies.
• Complete back-office tasks including referrals, messages, and general clinical support.
