Job summary

Optima Dermatology seeks an experienced Medical Assistant to join our dermatology and aesthetic team in Stow, OH. You will support exam rooms, assist physicians with procedures, and coordinate tests, referrals, and patient care with a focus on confidentiality and safety.

The ideal candidate has dermatology experience, strong vitals and injection skills, and proficiency with EMA EMR. 1 year in a dermatology office is preferred, with a commitment to patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Clinical support including vitals, injections and exam prep.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms and stock supplies for patient visits.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and record vitals and visit reason.
• Assist physicians with procedures and minor surgeries.
• Prepare specimens for outside lab and track results.
• Schedule tests and coordinate referrals and testing sites.
• Communicate test results and care recommendations to patients.
• Handle pre-certifications with insurance and document referrals.
• Maintain inventory and clean exam rooms daily.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and safety standards.
• Collaborate with physician and office manager to improve practice.
