Job summary
Schweiger Dermatology Group in Garden City is seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant to support medical, cosmetic and laser procedures. You will assist physicians, manage patient flow, and handle clerical tasks in a fast-paced dermatology setting.
The role welcomes candidates with dermatology or healthcare exposure, EMR familiarity, and strong communication, reliability, and teamwork. Flexible scheduling is expected, with 30+ hours weekly.
Qualifications
- Dermatology experience preferred.
- Healthcare experience preferred.
- Nationally Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
- Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook; strong communication and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist physicians in medical, cosmetic and laser procedures.
- Record prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures and prescriptions in the chart.
- Manage patient flow and prep rooms; ensure equipment is ready for each shift.
- Provide pre-care and post-care instructions; maintain inventory and products.
- Attend in-house training and continued education opportunities.
