Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for our Dermatology department in Tampa, FL. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm. The role involves patient care under physician or APP supervision, including scribing for the provider.

Dermatology experience is preferred. Eligible candidates should have a high school diploma and completed Medical Assistant training or verifiable patient care experience. Certification and licensure requirements apply as listed by Orlando Health.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical Assistant training from an approved technical program or verifiable work experience in patient care.

Responsabilités

• Performs patient care under the direction and supervision of the physician or APP in an ambulatory care setting.
• Assist patients and families with preparation for examination.
• Assist the physician or APP during examination and procedures.
• Gathers patient data through interviews and observation.
• Documents treatments, procedures, and patient education according to policies.
• Enter medication, laboratory and imaging orders under provider direction.
