Schweiger Dermatology Group in Watsonville, CA is hiring a Full-Time Medical Assistant to support physicians with clinical, clerical, and cosmetic procedure tasks in a dermatology setting. Prior healthcare experience is required.

The role requests availability Monday through Friday, with flexibility to cover in a team environment. Responsibilities include patient prep, procedure assistance, and documentation within guidelines using EMR and scheduling systems.

Qualifications

• Healthcare experience required.
• Dermatology experience preferred.
• Nationally Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Weekend availability to cover shifts.

Responsibilities

• Promote a professional, welcoming atmosphere for patients and providers.
• Assist physician in medical, cosmetic and laser procedures.
• Record treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, prescriptions, and prior authorizations.
• Manage patient flow and anticipate provider needs.
• Prep and reset exam rooms; ensure equipment is operational.
• Provide pre-care and post-care instructions as needed.
• Monitor supplies and notify head MA or GM of low stock.
• Attend trainings and continued education opportunities.
