Anne Arundel Dermatology's Dermatology Institute in Georgia is hiring a full-time Medical Assistant to support providers in our LaGrange and Newnan offices. This role emphasizes hands-on patient care, efficient clinic flow, and delivering an exceptional patient experience.

Candidates should have strong clinical skills, be detail-oriented, and have phlebotomy experience; CMA is preferred but not required, with training provided.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy experience is required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• CMA credential preferred but not required; training provided.
• Reliable transportation between LaGrange and Newnan offices.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Room and prepare patients for examination and procedures
• Obtain and document medical history and chief complaints
• Assist physicians and advanced practice providers with medical, cosmetic, and surgical dermatology procedures
• Assist with biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy, and other in-office dermatologic procedures.
• Perform venipuncture and collect laboratory specimens
• Administer medications and injections as directed
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and procedure rooms
• Document patient encounters accurately within the EMR
• Educate patients on medications, wound care, and treatment plans
• Coordinate laboratory testing, pathology specimens, and follow-up care
• Maintain exam room supplies and clinical inventory
• Provide compassionate, professional patient care while supporting an efficient clinic workflow
• Other duties as assigned by management
