Job summary

Schweiger seeks a Per Diem Medical Assistant for our King of Prussia Office. The Medical Assistant is responsible for performing the highest quality medical, clinical, and clerical tasks in a dermatology setting. Previous healthcare experience is required.

Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere, assist physicians in medical, cosmetic and laser procedures, and document treatments within guidelines. Availability Monday–Friday with rotating Saturdays during 7:00am–7:30pm; weekend

Qualifications

Dermatology experience preferred.
Healthcare experience required.
Nationally Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems.
Must be computer savvy with Word, Excel, Outlook.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Open availability to work weekdays and weekends.

Responsibilities

Promote a professional, welcoming atmosphere for patients and providers.
Assist physician in medical, cosmetic, and laser procedures.
Record prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, and procedures in the chart.
Understand provider–patient flow and anticipate next steps.
Prep rooms before/after patients and ensure equipment is in working order.
Provide pre-care and post-care instructions as needed.
Scan retail and cosmetic products and alert leadership of low stock.
Perform inventory and stocking of supplies/equipment as requested.
Attend in-house training and ongoing education.
