Qualifications

• CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA or equivalent certification required
• Prior healthcare, patient care, or medical office experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong computer and documentation skills essential
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures by obtaining histories and vital signs
• Document provider encounters and procedures in the EMR
• Assist providers during medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology procedures
• Generate and submit orders as directed by providers
• Communicate pathology results and follow-up instructions to patients
• Answer and return patient calls in a timely manner
• Provide patient education on treatments, medications, and post-procedure care
• Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and proper labeling of specimens
• Follow HIPAA, OSHA, and clinic safety standards
• Travel for training and support as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned
