Job summary

Affiliated Dermatology is hiring a Medical Assistant to room patients, obtain chief complaints and histories, and support physicians during examinations. You will assist with surgical procedures, manage autoclaving, and handle lab paperwork with a patient-focused, teamwork-driven approach.

We offer a competitive salary and benefits package including medical/dental insurance and PTO. Work is full-time, five days per week, with up to 25% travel potential as needed and shifts 8a–5:30p.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Strong focus on producing repeatable outcomes within defined processes.
• Cautious, examines the facts and uses established procedures in decision-making.
• Communicates in a factual, polite, and professional manner.
• Be able to work 8 hours shifts, five days per week.
• No time restrictions between 8a-530p.

Responsibilities

• Room patients
• Obtain patients' chief complaints and medical histories
• Assist our physicians during patient examination
• Assist with surgical procedures
• Suture removal and medical dressings
• Complete paperwork for laboratories
• Notify patients with pathology and/or laboratory results
• Educate patients
• Schedule appointments
• Autoclave
• Stock exam/surgical rooms
• All other standard medical assistant duties
