Job summary

Yolanda C. Holmes, M.D, P.C in Washington, DC is hiring Certified Dermatology Medical Assistants for a combined Dermatology MA and clinical scribe role. The position is full-time at Dupont Circle with competitive pay and a schedule of Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, plus alternating Saturdays.

CMA with dermatology experience is required. Responsibilities include assisting with exams, procedures, injections, and biopsies; real-time EMR documentation; patient education; and managing prescriptions

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (Required).
• Current & valid CMA Certification (Required).
• 1+ year dermatology MA experience (Required).
• 3+ years medical terminology & typing (Required).
• 3+ years office experience (Preferred).
• Medication authorization (Plus).

Responsibilities

• Escort patients and prepare for exams/procedures.
• Assist with biopsies, lasers, and cosmetic injections.
• Administer subcutaneous and intramuscular injections.
• Sterile and non-sterile instrument processing.
• Educate patients on treatment plans and wound care.
• Manage prescription refills and prior authorizations.
• Real-time EMR documentation during patient visits.
• Prepare and complete patient charts.
• Track lab and pathology results.
• Manage clinical inbox and patient follow-up.
• Communicate normal findings to patients as directed.

• Standard daytime hours with predictable schedule
