Job summary

SkinPros is seeking a Medical Assistant/Scribe to support dermatology physicians in delivering high-quality patient care. The role includes patient rooming, updating medical histories, documenting visit details, and assisting with biopsies, surgeries, and skin treatments.

You will manage patient records, input templates, and coordinate with laboratories while ensuring sterile techniques and infection control. Strong communication and teamwork are essential in a fast-paced dermatology clinic.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 0–3 years medical assistant experience, preferably in dermatology.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate patient records.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and update histories.
• Document visit details and scribe templates/notes.
• Assist with dermatology procedures (biopsies, injections, laser, excisions).
• Administer local anesthesia and remove sutures as directed.
• Process prescriptions and manage prior authorizations.
• Log pathology samples and coordinate with laboratories.
• Operate dermatology equipment such as UVB/Laser units.
• Maintain sterile techniques and infection control.
