Job summary

Vanguard Skin Specialists is seeking a Front Office/Back Office Medical Assistant/Mohs Technician to support multiple physicians across our dermatology and Mohs surgery practices in southern Colorado. The role blends clinical and surgical duties with administrative tasks, requiring organization, reliability, and a passion for patient care.

The candidate will float between offices (Colorado Springs, Castle Rock, Canon City, Woodland Park, Pueblo) and contribute in both clinical and surgical

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or equivalent laboratory certification.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer service experience is a plus.
• Ability to work across clinical and administrative areas.

Responsibilities

• Escorts patients to exam room, takes medical history, documents medications, and records vitals in EMR.
• Acts as chaperone and scribes during visits, documenting exam details and treatment plans.
• Assists with dermatology/plastic surgery procedures including local anesthesia and post-procedure care.
• Communicates biopsy results and prior authorization information to patients; documents calls in EMR.
• Mohs technician duties include tissue prep, slides preparation, and cryostat work.
