Job summary

The Oregon Clinic is seeking a full-time Credentialed Medical Assistant or Non-Credentialed Medical Assistant for our Dermatology Clinic in NW Portland. You will work with a collaborative team delivering high-value care and ensuring a smooth patient experience.

Responsibilities include assisting with examinations, procedures, scheduling, and patient education, with competitive pay and premium benefits. Certification within 90 days is required or supported for new grads.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of MA experience preferred.
• Dermatology experience is a plus.
• Certification through a national agency (AAMA/NCCT) preferred.
• MA must be certified within 90 days; new grads welcome.
• CPR/BLS within 60 days of hire; ACLS may be required.
• EMR experience (Epic preferred).
• Knowledge of medication administration, wound care, specimen collection, and patient education.
• Experience assisting with biopsies, minor surgical procedures, and maintaining sterile technique.
• Strong clinic flow management and support to physicians and healthcare team.
• Familiarity with insurance authorizations, referrals, and scheduling processes.
• Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time-management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist medical staff by collecting information, escorting patients to exam rooms, and preparing for examinations.
• Assist with procedures and tests; monitor patients.
• Schedule appointments for new and established patients.
• Update patient records as needed.
• Support overall delivery of patient care in the department.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
