Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide nursing care under the supervision of an RN. You will collect patient data and participate in care planning to support a high standard of patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of practical nursing or passed LPN Boards after a defined period in a professional nursing program.
• If graduation did not occur within the last two years, one year of LPN experience in an applicable setting is required.
• One year LPN experience within the last five years preferred.

Responsibilities

• The LPN provides nursing care to assigned patients under the direct supervision of the RN or other supervisor and accepts delegation in meeting patient needs.
• The LPN collects data through observation and communicates information to assist the RN and/or provider in patient assessment and care planning.
• The LPN delivers care in accordance with the patient care plan, policies and procedures and participates in quality improvement projects.
