Job summary

Schweiger is seeking a Lead Medical Assistant for our Wayne Office. The Lead MA will supervise and develop staff, support physicians in clinical and cosmetic procedures, and ensure efficient daily operations. Prior healthcare and dermatology experience are required.

Full-time, 30+ hours, with availability Mon-Fri and rotating Saturdays 7am-7pm. Competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits accompany this role.

Qualifications

• 2 - 3 years of experience working in a dermatology/medical environment preferred.
• Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems preferred.
• Must be computer savvy and familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Excellent patient relation and customer services skills.
• Must be professional, reliable, and dedicated employee.
• Must have strong critical thinking, problem resolution skills and be a great multitasker.
• Open availability to work during weekdays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere that enhances the quality of service and care offered to patients and for respective provider.
• Lead by example, maintains office presence and highest level of professionalism.
• Maintains effective and constructive communication with office management to instill company values, vision, and protocols in all associated colleagues and providers.
• Have a thorough working knowledge of all standard operating protocol and policies that pertain to the clinical department.
• Have thorough knowledge of all clinical treatments to appropriately care for the patient’s needs. Proficient in pre-care and post-care treatment instructions.
• Assist the physician in medical, cosmetic, allergy, and/or laser procedures. Preps exam rooms and cleans after every visit.
• Assist Office Management in day-to-day clinical operations and supervision.
• Ensure that all assigned Medical Assistants/LPNs follow company policies and protocols.
• Manage consumables and retail products and place orders as needed.
• Maintain inventory, order supplies, and ensure proper use of equipment.
• Audit specimen logs, lab trackers, and ensure compliance with guidelines.
• Organize and submit medical forms and data timely.
• Coordinate onboarding, training, and continued education for staff.
• Cover shifts in emergencies and ensure staffing coverage.
• Enforce CLIA, OSHA and HIPAA regulations and report incidents.
• Cross-train to assist front desk during emergencies.
• Handle other duties as assigned.
