Anne Arundel Dermatology’s SkinPath Solutions lab in Smyrna, GA is hiring a full-time Lab Assistant 1. This role supports the processing and tracking of biopsy specimens, with shift hours 2:30 PM to 11 PM, Monday through Friday.

The team emphasizes training and long-term growth within our dermatology network. The ideal candidate holds an AS in biology/chemistry or related science, can stand for 8 hours, communicates well with patients and staff, and values accuracy.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Biology, Chemistry, or related science (required).
• Ability to stand for the duration of the 8 hour shift.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
• Lab experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Keying patients into the lab system.
• Assigning case numbers to specimens, slides and cassettes.
• Pulling and filing patient records for doctors, client services and lab.
• Matching up patient records and QC patient records.
• Changing solutions in processors and stainers.
• Filling client supply orders and putting up supplies.
• Other duties assigned by management.
