The ideal candidate will have strong customer service, experience with medical coding (CPT/ICD9), and proficiency with patient information systems, clocking a day shift with 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• College level courses preferred but not required.
• 4+ years of front-desk and customer service experience, preferably within a healthcare environment.
• Demonstrated competency with medical procedural coding (CPT/ICD9).
• Prior experience with patient or customer information systems; typing at least 40 WPM.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with patients, physicians, other staff members and management to ensure patient satisfaction and accurate front-end processing.
• Verify patient demographics and insurance information prior to visits for pre-scheduled patients.
• Register all patients at each visit and document complete patient and insurance information; handle copayments and time-of-service charges.
• Check-out patients per policy, schedule future appointments, and provide receipts for services.
