Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-2 years of medical office experience preferred.
• Must be able to work well independently but ask for help when needed—the ability to analyze and interpret information, and interact and decipher information telephonically and electronically.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients upon arrival for appointments.
• Register new patients and update demographics; collect payments for services and products.
• Answer the phone politely and follow proper telephone etiquette.
• Facilitate patient flow by notifying clinical staff of arrivals and monitoring delays.
• Keep office supplies stocked and monitor equipment.
• Learn new products and maintain an accurate inventory.
• Verifies patient health benefits with approved healthcare companies.
• Schedule appointments.
• Process and file medical records and referrals.
• Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
• Work in a team environment to accomplish daily tasks.
• Travel to other locations.
• Other duties as assigned.
