Job summary

Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery is seeking a Medical Receptionist to join a highly regarded dermatology practice. You will warmly greet patients, facilitate their entry, and hand out forms while verifying accuracy and completion.

You’ll also copy insurance IDs and support the front office team in scheduling and records management. Ideal candidates have strong customer service, basic medical terminology knowledge, and proficiency with Word and Excel, including 40 wpm typing.

Qualifications

• High School education required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance policies preferred.
• Proficiency in Word and Excel; 40 wpm typing required.

Responsibilities

• Facilitating the efficient and timely entry of the patient to the office setting.
• Greeting all patients in a professional manner.
• Handing out appropriate literature and information & forms to be filled out by patient; checking for accuracy and completion.
• Copying insurance ID cards and driver's licenses as well as several other general office activities related to medical practice.
• Support the front office business administrators and the Office Manager in various operations areas and tasks.
• Pulling and filing patient records; frequent telephone communication with patients including outreach and scheduling support; new patient chart set-up; other duties as assigned.
