Job summary

Anne Arundel Dermatology in Bethesda, MD is seeking a Front Desk Receptionist to greet patients, manage check-in/check-out, enter new patient information, verify charts and signatures, and collect payments.

You will schedule office-based and outpatient procedures per provider templates, coordinate patient flow, assist with billing, and support staff in a fast-paced dermatology practice.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED required.
• 1–3 years medical receptionist experience preferred but training available.
• Dermatology experience is a plus.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Knowledge of HIPAA standards.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Greet each patient in a pleasant and professional manner.
• Screen calls, schedule appointments and referrals.
• Enter complete patient demographics when making appointments.
• Evaluate chart data to verify information is received, completed and signed.
• Check-in and check-out patients.
• Track patients in the reception area and communicate as needed.
• Collect patient payments.
• Update product inventory weekly.
• Assist other staff as needed.
• Run end of day reports and balance payment totals.
