Job summary

Tareen Dermatology is opening a new Grand Forks clinic in North Dakota and seeks a friendly Medical Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for patients. You will deliver exceptional customer service, schedule appointments, verify insurance, and support daily front desk operations.

The role requires 3+ years of medical office experience, a high school diploma, and a strong emphasis on teamwork and professional appearance. Occasional clinic travel may be involved.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of medical office experience required.
• Prior customer service experience required.

Responsibilities

• Greets and checks-in patients scheduled visits; registers demographic information and processes payment plans and copays.
• File/scan Medical records and patient correspondents.
• Check all insurance for accuracy, make necessary phone calls.
• Answer all calls timely and with courtesy and direct all calls to appropriate parties.
• Check voicemail and distribute messages accordingly.
• Confirm next day appointments are accurate and all information is verified.
• Assist with all incoming fax messages.
• Schedule appointments accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare new patient charts.
• Handle release of information requests following company guidelines.
• Monitor contact emails and follow proper protocol.
• Know services rendered.
• Order office supplies as needed.
• Follow HIPAA and OSHA policies.
