Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Medical Assistant from a nationally accredited institution.
• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Completed Association of Certified Dermatology Technician Course or will complete within one year of hire.
• BLS certification required; ability to work in a fast-paced dermatology setting.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with provider to determine patient needs and assist with care.
• Verify patient information, record medical history, and collect basic data.
• Prepare patients for examination and document in EHR accurately.
• Scribe for the provider during office visits and assist with procedures.
• Assist with minor dermatologic procedures and post-procedure care.
• Manage referrals, testing, and pre-certifications; triage calls per site protocol.
• Maintain clean, organized exam and treatment rooms; ensure OSHA standards.
• Provide patient health education and post-op instructions as needed.
