Job summary

Memorial Health System in Ohio is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to provide clinical and clerical support across primary care, surgical, and specialty practices. You will assist with procedures, administer medications per policy, and document in the EMR.

Responsibilities include patient registration with AIDET, front-office duties, prescription processing, specimen collection, and effective communication with providers. Requires a high school diploma and CMA credential with BLS.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited medical assistant program with an AAMA, RMA, or NHA certification or approved equivalent required.
• BLS Certification required.
• Previous healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical and clerical support to primary care, surgical and specialty physician practices.
• Demonstrates knowledge of medications, administration techniques, dosages, and side effects; reconciles in EMR.
• Submits prescriptions electronically or as directed; documents in patient records.
• Performs clinical procedures and treatments per physician-validated CMA scope with timely documentation.
• Assists in patient education and maintains up-to-date documentation of care provided.
