Job summary

Platinum Dermatology Partners seeks a Research Support Specialist in La Jolla, San Diego, CA to assist the Research Department with patient screening, data collection, and site coordination for clinical trials. The role requires attention to protocol details and strong communication with study staff and physicians.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma (GCP/IATA preferred), prior clinical research exposure, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while

Qualifications

• Previous Clinical Research experience preferred.
• Previous dermatology experience preferred.
• Ability to function as part of a team.
• Ability to establish positive relationships with physicians and providers.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Answer Research department phone lines and relay messages.
• Read and comprehend study protocols.
• Pre-screen patients and schedule initial screening appointments.
• Respond to Research web inquiries.
• Assist the Research Department and Coordinators with delegated tasks.
• Subject recruitment and data collection; maintain source documents.
• CRF completion and review for accuracy; label slide photos.
• Filing and maintenance of study documents; schedule visits.
• Document adverse events and notify appropriate personnel.
• Assist physicians, nurses, or staff with procedures; set up exam rooms.
• Provide patient education and literature; take photos.
• Monitor physician schedules to maintain timely flow; triage calls.
• Contribute to staff meetings and site coordination activities.
• Assist in data entry and audits as needed; assist in sample processing.
