Job summary

The Mount Sinai Health System's Dermatology department is seeking a Clinical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support to physicians and staff. You will coordinate patient care, assist with examinations and procedures, and ensure accurate documentation in the EMR.

You will help with scheduling, phlebotomy duties, and training junior staff to maintain high standards of patient care. This role requires a High School diploma, a Medical Assistant certificate, and BCLS certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Completion of a Medical Scribe training program (if required by department).
• 3+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• BCLS certification required by AHA.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between physicians, patients, families, and providers to ensure quality patient care.
• Coordinate daily activities of physician team staff for efficient operations.
• Assist with patient intake, exams, procedures, and phlebotomy as needed.
• Enter orders into EMR and prepare prescriptions for review.
• Provide training and mentoring to Level I Medical Assistant staff.
