Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certificate Medical Assistant from an accredited program required.
• Medical Scribe training program completion may be required for the Scribe role.
• 3+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant preferred or required.
• BCLS certification required (American Heart Association).

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between physicians, patients, families, providers, and insurers to ensure quality patient care.
• Coordinate daily activities of physician team staff for efficient operations.
• Assist with patient flow, room preparation, vital signs, and procedures as directed by physicians.
• Perform clerical tasks: manage medical records, labs, referrals, and chart documentation (EMR use).
• Enter orders in EMR and prepare prescription refill requests as needed.
• May perform phlebotomy and assist in scheduling surgeries/procedures.
• Maintain supplies inventory and ensure proper storage and disposal of medications.
• Provide training and mentoring to Level I Medical Assistants.
