Winona Health is seeking a Clinic Assistant in Dermatology to support patient care under RN/provider direction. The role handles clerical duties, inventory, EMR data entry, and coordinating referrals and appointments.

The position emphasizes organization, communication, multitasking, and basic computer skills (Cerner, Word, Excel, Outlook). 80 hours per pay period, day shift, with no weekends or holidays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• 1–3 years of customer service, reception, or business experience.
• Good decision-making, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks independently in a busy, ever-changing environment.
• Basic computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook, and Cerner Patient Information Database.

Responsibilities

• Care for clinic patients under RN or provider direction.
• Handle clerical and inventory management duties.
• Input patient information into EMR (Cerner).
• Coordinate appointments (referrals, follow-ups, prior authorizations) with other departments.
• Schedule patients and support providers; manage materials and supplies.
• Maintain professional telephone etiquette and triage information.
• Input data into EMR; log patient messages for nursing staff actions.
