Job summary

Winona Health in Winona, MN seeks a Clinic Assistant in the Spine Center to support patient care under RN/provider direction. You will handle clerical duties, EMR data entry, scheduling, referrals, prior authorizations, and inventory management in a fast-paced clinic.

Responsibilities include coordinating appointments, processing work queues, logging messages in PowerChart, maintaining supplies, and ensuring accurate information flows to nursing staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years in customer service, reception, or business experience.
• Strong decision-making, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask in a busy environment.
• Basic computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook, and Cerner EMR.

Responsibilities

• Input all applicable data into the EMR (Cerner).
• Coordinate scheduling, referrals, and prior authorizations.
• Manage office supplies and equipment inventory.
• Assist with work comp documentation and prior authorizations as needed.
• Provide scheduling support and determine next available appointment.
