Job summary

Ohio State University Physicians (OSUP) seeks an experienced clinic administrator to lead and coordinate operations across its outpatient clinics. The role focuses on directing administrative activities, coordinating with physicians and staff, and ensuring efficient service delivery to patients.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient confidentiality and quality care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2 years of direct managerial or supervision experience in a clinical setting preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication, leadership and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of patient confidentiality, OSHA, Joint Commission and clinical operations.

Responsibilities

• Provides administrative direction and coordination of clinic(s) interfacing with administration, physicians, patients and external organizations.
• Develops and maintains organizational structure, staffing plans and resource-efficient processes.
• Manages clinic operations, labor costs and expenses.
• Oversees recruitment, training, supervision, payroll, and staff engagement.
• Initiates coaching, disciplinary actions and performance improvement planning.
• Ensures staff complete Ambulatory Skills Orientation as required.
• Analyzes reports and plans for improvements in financial results and productivity.
• Oversees registration, scheduling and provider template functions with Corporate Central Access.
