Job summary

Brevard Skin and Cancer Center seeks a detail-oriented Billing Specialist in Dermatology to join a fast-paced, family-oriented team. The role requires expertise in eligibility checks, charge entry, payment posting and accounts receivable, with strong insurance knowledge and EMR experience (Allscripts preferred).

Ideal candidates will have excellent communication, multitasking skills, and a professional, patient-focused approach.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1–2 years of billing experience with eligibility and charge entry.
• Strong knowledge of insurance policies, eligibility requirements, and billing codes.
• EMR experience, Allscripts preferred.
• Dermatologic terminology a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with timely, high-quality results.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Courteous, friendly, compassionate, professional teamwork.
• Diligence and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Awareness of OSHA regulations, HIPAA and compliance.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Team player with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Handle billing processes including eligibility checks, charge entry, payment posting and AR.
• Collaborate with insurance providers, healthcare providers and patients to resolve billing discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate and compliant billing records and documentation.
