Job summary

Susquehanna Financial Group (SFG) invites applications for a Derivatives Sales Trader Co-op. You will gain hands-on experience on a trading desk while developing knowledge of equity derivatives, client engagement, and market insights.

You will collaborate with trading, strategy, market intelligence, and research teams to support client activity and build tools in Excel (and optionally Python/SQL) to automate reporting and improve workflows.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Python, SQL, or VBA experience is a plus.
• Interest in financial markets, especially derivatives.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
• Background in Finance, Economics, Math, or Statistics is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist sales traders in managing client relationships and responding to market inquiries
• Collaborate with derivatives strategy and research on trade ideas and market analysis
• Augment existing workflows to improve efficiency and support institutional client needs
• Build and maintain Excel tools (and optionally Python/SQL) to support trading and automate reporting
• Participate in desk discussions and real-time market decision-making
• Learn how derivatives products are priced, traded, and positioned across markets
