Job Title: Derivatives & Technical Accounting Analyst

Position Summary:

This role involves managing derivative accounting transactions, ensuring they are properly documented, recorded, and reported. Responsibilities include preparing journal entries, performing internal controls such as reconciliations, preparing monthly estimates and analysis, and supporting internal and external reporting. Collaboration with various departments like Risk & Pricing, Supply & Marketing, and Accounting is essential.

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 2 years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of commodity derivatives and accounting principles
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Strong analytical skills
• Active CPA certification is preferred

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform daily derivative accounting processes, including journal entries and month-end controls, coordinating with relevant teams to ensure accurate application of accounting standards.
2. Generate reports and analyses for routine and special reporting needs, including external financial disclosures and earnings reports.
3. Assist in developing and maintaining derivative accounting policies and procedures, ensuring compliance.
4. Perform other related duties as assigned.
