Job summary

R. J. Corman is seeking dependable, safety-focused CDL-A Heavy Equipment Operators to join our Emergency Response team in Fargo, North Dakota. You will travel to support railroad customers, clear derailments, and help restore critical rail operations while working outdoors and with a skilled team.

Must have a valid Class A CDL, prior heavy equipment experience, and be available on call 24/7 with the ability to respond within one hour. Benefits begin on day one and safety is a priority.

Responsibilities

• Transport, operate, inspect, and service heavy equipment used to clear railroad derailments.
• Safely drive and operate commercial vehicles and equipment that require a Class A CDL.
• Perform laborer and ground-support duties as needed.
• Follow required safety procedures, use PPE, and help maintain a safe worksite.
• Comply with DOT requirements, permits, and applicable driving regulations.
• Communicate clearly with supervisors and crew members throughout each job response.

Physical And Work Environment Requirements

• Perform physically demanding work, including frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
• Lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Walk, climb, and maintain balance on equipment, stairs, ladders, uneven terrain, rails, and ballast.
• Enter and work in confined spaces when required.
• Work at outdoor job sites and around moving vehicles and equipment.
• Exposure to changing weather conditions.
• Work may occur during nights, weekends, and holidays based on customer needs.
