Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (electrical engineering preferred) or related work experience.
• Seven years of distribution engineering and/or equivalent experience including at least three years of supervisory/management experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership for staff regarding DER integration processes across all service territories ensuring the safe and reliable operation of the distribution system.
• Supports and advocates for effective DER integration policies, working with public utility commissions and key stakeholders to align rules and processes to support the company's strategic direction. Provides engineering expertise regarding DER, grid impacts and project management.
• Ensure maximum utilization of human resources by promoting teamwork, diversity, safety, customer orientation and development of individual potential.
• Coordinates the activities of the Unit with internal and external organizations to support corporate objectives and meet customer needs.
• Accountable for achievement of goals relative to project completion, budgets, safety, facility performance, regulatory compliance and customer satisfaction.
• Manages development of Unit business plan and operating budget. Monitors results. Ensures alignment with organization and corporate objectives.
• Stays abreast of new technologies and current industry practices. Represents Company in Regional/National organizations.
